Standard plywood is 48 × 96 inches (4 × 8 ft). Kerf is the material removed by the cut; 1/8" (0.125") for a typical table-saw blade, 0.1 mm for a laser. Available is how many sheets you have on hand; the optimizer will use as many as needed up to this number.

"Rotate" lets the part be placed in either orientation. Turn off if the part has a grain or a directional pattern that must stay aligned with the sheet.

Pack Strategy

Part Sort

"Best fit" places each part where it creates the least new waste. "Guillotine shelf" packs in horizontal rows for easy table-saw cuts. Sort affects which parts are placed first; largest-first usually packs most efficiently.
