MILEPOST
API Keys / Configuration
Two optional sources require free API keys. Without them, those captures are skipped. Keys are stored only in your browser, never transmitted anywhere except to the respective service.
When fetching directly from a source is blocked by browser CORS policy (e.g. Yahoo Finance, Apple Marketing Tools, Frankfurter from some networks), Milepost can route the request through a CORS proxy that fetches the page server-side and returns it with the right headers. Think of it as a clipping service. The default proxy is AllOrigins, which is free and unauthenticated; you can substitute another or disable proxying entirely by clearing the field.
The milepost number auto-increments on each capture and persists across reloads. If browser data is cleared, the counter resets to 1; if you have existing JSON captures and want to continue the series, set the next number here.
